Position Description:

Leela Consultancy Inc is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join a growing and dynamic program to provide support for the client’s application sustainment and modernization. You will be interacting with a dynamic team of people with opportunities to learn and grow as you help deliver the overall solution to our client. In this role, you will manage a team of developers and technical analysts to stand up new environments, execute data conversions, complete development activities, and execute upgrade go-live. Collaborating with internal teams of functional analysts and external stakeholders on technical activities and delivering associated security and technical documentation are key responsibilities.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Contribute definition and establishment of technical strategy, standards, and guidelines in the data architecture domain and model domain.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders and various IT data practice teams to define transitional and target state data architectures.
• Contribute and maintain a core set of enterprise data architecture models and roadmaps in alignment with core business capabilities, business processes, and IT roadmap.
• With a big picture awareness of data sources, interfaces, and data flow across the enterprise, define, design, and document data services, interfaces, and data flows.
• The candidate will be responsible for staging data and creating reporting data warehouses, perform data modeling, craft logical and physical data structures based on reporting requirements, and help maintain data integrity and security.
• Contribute to establishing the foundation for advanced data analytics capabilities and self-service architecture.
• Well-versed with modern big data and cloud platforms.
• Identify opportunities for improvement.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Understanding of modern data architecture and experience with core data services like maintaining data lakes, data warehouses, data marts, as well as relational and dimensional modeling, data quality, and master data management.
• Excellent data management and data governance skills and analytical thinking capabilities.
• Experience in designing data architectures that will define and deliver data as an asset.
• Experience in Dimensional Modeling (Star Schema, OLAP Cubes, and Bus Matrix Mapping).
• Skilled in the design, deployment, and evaluation of tools, frameworks, and patterns to build scalable data platforms.
• Experienced with industry-leading data infrastructure technologies and end-user tools.
• Experience with troubleshooting data issues and identifying root causes of performance bottlenecks.
• Experience with SQL Server databases, Analysis services, SSIS, etc.
• Strong SQL development skills using SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, etc.
• Knowledge of creating and delivering modern data platforms that will provide advanced analytical capabilities.
• Proficiency in Visualization and Reporting Tools.
• Experienced with public cloud such as Azure (Preferred) or AWS.
• Preferred Working knowledge of Azure data platform – data factory, data catalogs, data lake, analytics, Azure storage options, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure DevOps, etc.
• Preferred Experience migrating data from on-prem to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.
• Experience with Agile software development.
• Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or Jira.
• Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred, but will consider additional experience in lieu of education.
• The candidate should have overall 9+ years of experience.
